Mujibnagar Liberation War Memorial Complex
Which Is Located In Amrakanan Of Vaidyanathtala Village Of Mujibnagar Upazila Of Meherpur District. Mujubnagar Is The First Capital Of Bangladesh. It Is One Of The Historical Place Of Bangladesh.Mujibnagar Is A Very Important Place As The Place Were The First Provisional Government Of Bangladesh Was Sworn In. To Perserve This Memory, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, Syed Nazrul Islam And Many Others Took Oath As A Provosional Government At The Amrakanan Of Mujibnagar (Then Baidyanathtala Of Bhaberpara) On 17th April 1971. And So, Liberation War Memorial Complex Was Built At The Place To Pass Down This History Created In Mujibnagar, The Cradle Of Freedom From Generation To Generation. Tanveer Karim Started The Construction Of This Architect. The Main Construction Of The Memorial Started In 1987. The President Hussain Mohammad Ershad Built A 23-Tiered Memorial To Preserve The Immortal Memory Of Independence At That Time.
After Going To The Liberation War Complex, One Can See A Huge Map In The Large Courtyard, In Which The 11 Sectors Of Different Parts Of Bangladesh Formed During The War Are Represented. Additionally, You Will Encounter Murals Depicting Various Historic Ebents Of The Liberation War, Historic Alrakanan, The Memorial Complex And A Historic Six-Point Metaphor Rose Garden. Furthermore, The Place Where The Temporary Government Of Bangladesh Took Oath, There Is A 24 Foot Long And 14 Foot Wide Red Stage Made Of Ceramic Tiles, Situated In The Mujibnagar Memorial Complex. Inside The Memorial, There Is A Pathway Avout 2 Feet 6 Inches High From The Ground, Featuring Around 1 Lac Circular Steps Symbolizing The Head Of Intellectuals. The Memorials Also Incoudes 23 Triangular Walls Shaped Like Circles. These 23 Walls Have Been Utilized As Symbols Of The 23 Years Of The Independence Movement From August 1947 To March 1971.
