Bangabandhu Udyan, which is located on the banks of the Kirtankhola river in Barisal district headquarters. It is also known as Bells Park.
It is known that the garden was constructed on the occasion of the arrival of the British King George V in 1896 when N.D.Beatson Bales was the District Magistrate of Barisal. Many state dignitaries have given their valuable speeches in this park. An open stage and mural were set up in the park to commemorate the speech given by Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
Now the park is being managed under the Directorate of Public Works of Barisal City Corporation.
