The Burial Ground Of Bir Shreshtha Shaheed Captain Mohiuddin Jahangir
The Mausoleum Of Bir Shreshtha Shaheed Captain Mohiuddin Jahangir, Which Is Located In Chhota Sona Mosque Premises In Shahbazpur Union Of Shibganj Upazila Of Chapainawabganj District. During The Liberation War Of 1971, Captain Mohiuddin Jahangir Entered Bangladesh Through India From The Sialkot Border, Avoiding The Sight Of The Hill Border Guards. He Was Fighting In Sector 7 Of Chapainawabganj Border Area Of Rajshahi District As The Captain Of Mukti Bahini.
It Is Known That On December 12, 1971, Mukti Bahini Attacked Chapainawabganj District Under His Leadership. On The Morning Of 14 December 1971, Captain Mohiuddin Jahangir Crossed The Mahananda River And Proceeded To Destroy The Enemy’s Base. One After Another The Enemy Base Was Destroyed By His Intelligent Attack. At This Time, A Sniper Bullet Of The Pakistani Army Hit His Body And He Collapsed There. He Was Martyred On 15 December 1971. His Comrades Rescued Him And Buried Him With Honors In The Historic Sona Masjid Premises.
He Was Awarded The Title Of Virashrestha For His Outstanding Contribution.
