Gazi Kalu Champavati Shrine, Which Is Located In Historical Barobazar Of Kaliganj Upazila Of Jhenaidah District. Ghazi, Kalu And Champavati Were Spiritual Saints. Those Who Come To Barobazar To Spread Islam.

It Is Known That Barkhan Ghazi Was The Son Of Derbesh Shah Sikandar And Kalu Was The Foster Son. Barkhan Gazi Taught Islam From Sylhet To Sundarbans. Everyone Knew Him As Gazi. Although He Had A Love Affair With Champavati, The Daughter Of King Ramachandra Of Chappainagar At That Time, They Were Socially And Religiously Hindered. Then King Ramachandra Declared War To Punish Ghazi And Kalu. Commander Dakshina Roy Was Defeated In That Battle And Converted To Islam.

The King Took His Daughter Champavati To Jhenaidah, But Gazi Rescued Her From There And Returned To Barobazar And Stayed There Till The End Of His Life.
