Chunakhola Mosque, Which Is Located In Village Chunakhola Of Shatagombuz Union Of Bagerhat District. It Is An Ancient Architecture Of The Medieval Sultanate Period.
It Is Known That Around The 15th Century, A Loyal Employee Of Hazrat Khan Jahan (RA) Built The Mosque. At That Time, Hazrat Khan Jahan Ali (RA) Set Up Lime Pits To Produce Lime For Use In Various Establishments. Hence It Is Known As Chunkhola Masjid.
In 1983, UNESCO Included The Chunkhola Mosque As A “World Cultural Heritage”.
